  • This family adventure begins with a walk around Lima. Have fun at the Magic Water Circuit, then, relax, try paddle boarding, or visit a traditional community before heading to Cuzco. Travel to the Sacred Valley and take a train to see the unforgettable Machu Picchu with your loved ones, a memory to treasure for life. Finally, head back to Cuzco for a chocolate workshop before returning to Lima.

  • Ready for your hassle-free family adventure? Pack your bags, round up the family, and arrive at your departure airport in Australia ready to check in for a flight* to Lima. Your journey starts smoothly with an on-time departure.

*If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

Arrive in Lima, where the whole family will be greeted with a warm welcome and the little ones will get a fun pack full of surprises. Transfer to the hotel, and depending on your arrival time, enjoy free time to rest or start exploring the city. Overnight stay in Lima.

The vibrant capital of Peru is a blend of colonial charm and modern energy, offering a harmonious mix of history, culture, and culinary delights perfect for everyone to enjoy.

  • Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, embark on a guided tour of Lima to discover both the modern and older parts of the city. See the Palace of Justice, Lima Museum, San Martín Square, among other emblematic sites. Try a wonderful Peruvian sweet that will delight the little ones, and end the tour at the iconic Parque del Amor.

In the afternoon, the whole family will love The Magic Water Circuit. This impressive fountain complex holds the Guiness World Record for being the largest in the world, and is a unique experience that combines water and lights. From ‘The Tunnel of Surprises’ to the ‘Children’s Fountain’ and the ‘Fantasy Fountain’ there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

If you like exploring independently, we recommend our optional bike tour* around the city in the early afternoon, to enjoy the fresh air and see the city from a different perspective. Overnight stay in Lima.

*Optional bike tour in Lima: begin your two-hour tour in the Miraflores neighbourhood. Cycle along the boardwalk, admire the view, and discover the beautiful parks. Continue through the bohemian neighborhood of Barranco with its artistic streets full of murals and paintings. End the tour tasting delicious artisan ice creams.

Please note: the optional tour takes place mid afternoon; after the morning tour of Lima and before the afternoon Magic Water Circuit, so you are able to enjoy the day to the fullest.

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Round up your loved ones this morning, as it’s time to head to Cuzco! Take the transport to the airport in time for your flight. Arrive and transfer to the Sacred Valley.

On-route to your hotel, enjoy a stop at a farm so the little ones (and not so little ones!) can pet, feed and take photos with alpacas, llamas and other friendly animals. Arrive at your hotel for check in and, depending on your arrival time, enjoy the rest of your day at leisure, exploring or resting. Overnight stay in the Sacred Valley.

Nestled in the Andes, this mesmerising region is known for its stunning landscapes, traditional villages, and ancient Incan ruins. Dotted with terraced hillsides, vibrant markets, and lush agricultural fields, the valley is also full of remarkable archaeological sites.

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Today the family can enjoy themselves at their own pace. Why not relax at the hotel, enjoy the facilities or explore the area independently. To get the most out of the experience, we recommend one of our exciting optional activities such as a morning of stand up paddle* or a visit to the Misminay community**. Overnight stay in the Sacred Valley.

*Optional stand up paddle experience: enjoy Cuzco’s wonderful nature from a different perspective! Explore Piuray lagoon in Chinchero on your paddleboard after a welcome snack and a session of stretching and instructions. A guide will accompany you at all times on this exciting adventure on the water. After the paddleboard session, enjoy a snack or explore the lagoon’s surroundings.

**Optional visit to the Misminay community: get to know the traditional Andean way of life up close. The Misminay locals will warmly welcome you with music and typical dances. Take part in traditional daily activities in the community, such as planting or harvesting. Additionally, a local expert will give you the opportunity to learn more about their ancient textile art.

Please note that these optional activities do not overlap, so you can do both if you wish.

  • Breakfast at the hotel. It’s time to leave the Sacred Valley and its mysteries behind and head back to Cuzco. At the indicated time, take your transfer to the station to catch your train. Arrive at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Why not explore the city's cobblestone streets lined with a blend of Incan ruins and Spanish colonial buildings. We recommend our optional visit to the Planetarium*, a great experience for all ages. Overnight stay in Cuzco.

*Optional visit to the Cuzco Planetarium: enjoy a fantastic projection of the starry night sky with stunning illustrations of the constellations and wonders of the universe. Get the chance to head outside and observe the stars and planets with powerful telescopes (weather permitting).

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with a chocolate workshop at the Choco Museum, a delicious activity perfect for kids to enjoy! Learn more about the chocolate-making process and prepare your own creations with your favorite fillings. A fun activity everyone will love!

Later in the day embark on a guided walking tour of Cuzco. Visit the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Koricancha, wander around the San Pedro Market, the oldest in the city, where you’ll taste traditional products and seasonal fruit. Overnight stay in Cuzco.

  • Breakfast at the hotel. It’s time to head back to Lima today as your trip draws to a close. At the indicated time, round up the family and get ready to transfer to the airport to catch your flight. Arrive in Lima, transfer to the hotel, and depending on your arrival time, spend the remainder of the day exploring the city.

Why not grab some last minute souvenirs, enjoy the vibrant Peruvian cuisine, grown-ups can sip on pisco sours, the kids can slurp up tropical fruit smoothies while taking in the last few hours in the city. Overnight stay in Lima.

  • Breakfast at the hotel*. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight back** to Australia.

    * Depending on the return flight schedule and the hotel breakfast service, you may not be able to enjoy the included breakfast on the last day.

** Depending on your choice of flight, you may arrive in Australia the next day or two days later.
