Privacy Policy — Plain Language Summary
Dream Big Travels | Effective July 2026A short, honest summary of how we look after your personal information. It's a guide — the full Dream Big Travels Privacy Policy is the complete document. Your rights under Australian privacy law are never reduced by this summary.
We handle your information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This summary sits on top of those protections, not around them.
We collect only what we need
To arrange your travel we collect your contact and identity details, passport and visa information, booking preferences, and payment details. With your consent we also collect health, dietary, and accessibility needs — only where they're needed to arrange your trip safely.
Health details get extra care
Health and medical information is “sensitive information” under the law. We collect it only with your consent, use it only to arrange your travel (like flagging an allergy to a ground operator), and never for anything else. You're never obliged to share it.
Children's information comes from you, the adult
Because our trips are for families, we handle information about children — but only ever as provided by the parent, guardian, or booking adult. We never collect it directly from a child, and a parent can access, correct, or delete it at any time.
We share it only to deliver your trip
We share your information with Archer Travel and EVO Marketing (our booking partners), and with the airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and ground operators delivering your trip — plus payment processors and, where the law requires, government agencies. We never sell or rent your information.
Some information goes overseas
Because we operate globally, your information may be shared with partners and suppliers outside Australia — including in the US, UK, Mexico, and the countries you're travelling to. We take reasonable steps to ensure it's handled to Australian Privacy Principle standards.
Your payment details are handled securely
Card payments are processed through secure, encrypted third-party systems. We don't store your full card number. We take reasonable steps to protect everything we hold, though no online system is ever completely secure.
You're in control of marketing
We'll only send you news about camps and trips if you've asked to hear from us, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Opting out never affects the essential messages about a trip you've booked.
You can see it, fix it, or complain
You can ask what we hold about you, get a copy, and have anything inaccurate corrected — just email privacy@dreambigtravels.com.au. If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can raise it with us and, if needed, with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
People, not machines, make the decisions
We don't use automated systems or AI to make significant decisions about you, such as whether to accept your booking. A real person handles your booking. If that ever changes, we'll update our Privacy Policy to explain it.
This is a plain-language summary only. Your privacy is governed by our full Privacy Policy.

Our Booking Terms — Plain Language Summary

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are never excluded.
Nothing in our terms limits or removes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law. This summary sits on top of those rights, not around them.
A small deposit secures your place
Most World School Camps are held with a AUD $50 per-person deposit. Egypt is also held with a USD $50 deposit, then spread over an easy monthly payment plan. Your exact deposit is shown on your booking proposal.
You have 14 days to change your mind — full refund
Cancel in writing within 14 days of paying your deposit and you get every cent of that deposit back, no questions asked.
Egypt tours: USD $300 becomes non-refundable after that
Egypt is booked on a monthly plan with a USD $50 deposit. Once the 14-day cooling-off period ends, a minimum of USD $300 per person is non-refundable if you cancel — even though you've only paid $50 so far. This is the real cost our Egypt ground partner locks in the moment your place is confirmed with them. Your booking is paid in full no later than 90 days before you travel.
Your balance is due before you travel
For most camps the balance is due 60 days before departure. For Egypt it's paid in full by 90 days before. Your booking proposal states your dates. Late payment can cancel your booking.
Cancelling closer to departure costs more
As the trip gets closer, more of the cost is committed to suppliers and can't be recovered. Our cancellation charges step up on a set schedule (in the full terms) and reflect genuine committed costs — not penalties. This is exactly why we recommend travel insurance from the day you pay your deposit.
The stricter supplier policy always applies
Every part of your trip — flights, cruises, hotels, tours — is run by independent suppliers we book for you. Where a supplier's cancellation or payment rules are tighter than ours, theirs apply and are passed on in full. Cruise lines in particular set their own terms that override ours. We'll always tell you when a supplier rule is stricter.
Group places are “guaranteed attendance”
On a group camp, the full cost of your confirmed place is payable whether or not you personally attend, because we've committed it to suppliers on your behalf. It's a material term worth understanding before you book.
Travel insurance is essential
We strongly recommend comprehensive cover — bought at the time of your deposit — so your deposit and trip are protected from day one. Some events require it.
Prices, currency and who we are
Prices are in AUD unless stated; USD-quoted prices convert at the rate applying when you pay. Dream Big Travels is an Independent Agent with Archer Travel Service Australia PTY LTD (TIDS: 9686021), operating under EVO Marketing — your bookings are processed through Archer, a licensed Australian travel entity.
