Why We’re Planning Group Travel for Homeschoolers (and Why You’re Invited)
We’re the Mumfords—a homeschooling, full-time-traveling family of six.
While we’ve always loved exploring together, the past 18 months have taken us all-in. We’ve travelled full-time around Australia, uncovering dusty backroads, hidden waterfalls, quaint country markets, and quiet corners of the country—learning and growing as a family the whole way.
And along the way, we kept asking ourselves:
“What if more families could do this—together?”
Not just travelling beside strangers… but learning with friends. Swapping stories at the dinner table. Watching our kids build connections across cultures. And sharing those “we did it!” moments with people who get it.
That question turned into a dream. And that dream became Dream Big Travels.
We’re Building Something New—for Families Like Ours
There’s something powerful about travelling with like-minded people who value:
✨ Education through experience
✨ Purposeful parenting
✨ Freedom to explore without pressure
That’s why we’re starting family-friendly, homeschool-centered group adventures.
Our goal for 2026 is to host several incredible trips—worldschool camps, culture-rich tours, and meaningful experiences—all designed for both kids and parents.
But before all that, we’re launching our founding trip…
The 2026 Homeschool Cruise: Our First Big Step
We’ve chosen Voyager of the Seas, one of Royal Caribbean’s most family-friendly ships—because we know it delivers. It’s a cruise line we’ve sailed with multiple times as a family, and we trust it to provide a smooth, exciting, and memorable experience for first-time and seasoned cruisers alike.
In February 2026, we’ll be setting sail on a homeschool cruise departing from Brisbane—and we’d love your family to join us.
This isn’t just a holiday. It’s a chance to:
Connect with other homeschooling families
Share knowledge, ideas, and late-night laughs
Let your kids make lifelong friends and unforgettable memories
Experience learning through travel in a way that truly sticks
We want this to be more than just a trip. We want it to be the trip that starts it all.
We’re Travel Agents—But We’re Also Just Like You
Yes, we are travel agents. It’s the family business that helps support our life on the road and allows us to homeschool our kids.
We’re not here to sell cookie-cutter packages.
We’re here to build something more meaningful—a genuine community of homeschooling families who share similar values, big dreams, and a deep desire to raise curious, connected kids through real-world experiences.
We’re a traveling family, inviting others to dream big and explore boldly—together.
Why We Chose Voyager of the Seas
We haven’t just picked any old ship for our first adventure.
From rock climbing and waterslides to kids’ clubs, mini golf, live entertainment, and delicious dining options—Voyager of the Seas has something for everyone. We’re especially excited for those joining us on their very first cruise, because this ship is truly a fantastic introduction to cruising life.
