Where it all begins
The Step Pyramid at Saqqara, the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, then a full day inside the Grand Egyptian Museum. Papyrus and carpet-making workshops along the way.

The south, and a felucca at sunset
The temple of Isis at Philae, a sail on a traditional felucca, and a cultural afternoon in a Nubian village — music, customs, and a first lesson in Arabic.

Three nights on the water
Cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Kom Ombo's double temple, the crocodile museum, and a hieroglyphics workshop on deck as the river slides by.

The greatest open-air museum on earth
The Valley of the Kings and Tutankhamun's tomb, Hatshepsut's temple, and the vast halls of Karnak. Optional sunrise hot-air balloon for the early risers.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation and the Royal Mummies Hall, a farewell dinner, certificates for the kids — then home, with a head full knowledge and a heart full of memories.
